📄️ CCO Overview
The Common Core Ontologies (CCO) extend BFO with mid-level concepts that are common across many domains. The Naas Ontology incorporates and extends CCO with AI-specific concepts.
📄️ Act
Definition: An Event in which at least one Agent plays a causally active role.
📄️ Act of Association
Definition: A Social Act wherein an Agent unites with some other Agent in a Planned Act, enterprise or business.
📄️ Act of Employment
Definition: An Act of Association wherein an Organization assigns a set of activities to some Person to be performed in exchange for financial compensation.
📄️ Agent
Definition: An independent continuant that is capable of performing actions.
📄️ Artifact
Definition: A material entity that is the product of human design and manufacturing processes.
📄️ Capability
Definition: A Realizable Entity that inheres in a Material Entity in virtue of that Material Entity's capacity to realize it in some Planned Act.
📄️ Event
Definition: A Process that is bounded by a start and end time and is typically of significant importance or consequence.
📄️ Information Object
Definition: An Information Content Entity that is designed to bear some specific Information Content Entity that is about some Entity.
📄️ Organization
Definition: A collective agent that is composed of multiple agents and has a shared purpose or goal.
📄️ Plan
Definition: An information content entity that specifies a sequence of actions or procedures designed to achieve specific objectives.
📄️ Process Regulation
Definition: A Directive Information Content Entity that prescribes a Process as required, prohibited, or permitted, and is the output of a Process which realizes some Authority Role.
📄️ Quality
Definition: A Specifically Dependent Continuant that is exhibited if it inheres in an entity or is borne by some entity, but is not exhibited if it does not inhere in an entity or is not borne by some entity.
📄️ Role
Definition: A Realizable Entity that exists because there is some single bearer that is in some special physical, social, or institutional set of circumstances in which this bearer does not have to be, and is not such that, if it ceases to exist, then the physical make-up of the bearer is thereby changed.
📄️ Social Act
Definition: An Act performed by an Agent that involves or affects other Agents in a social context.
